If paying attention, there’s so much revealed in a person’s eyes — things that don’t always come through in (or align with) their words and actions. Older me can get a quick read on someone by their ability to make and hold eye contact with a person who’s externally different from them. It doesn’t matter if that difference comes down to age, gender, skin color, body shape, or ability — physical differences provide zero clues about someone’s character, their story, their heart and soul. Practice paying attention.
